What we keep

The list of what the Methmine site and account know about you, from the application to the server log. Each product carries its own list on its page.

Anonymity here is not a promise; it is the list of what we do not ask and do not keep: no analytics, no advertising, no identity documents. In the community you are a handle. You sign in to the browser with an email and a password.

The site and the application

The application
Your contact, what you wrote, the page language and the time it arrived. No address, no browser.
Who invited you
A member’s handle, if you gave one.
Cookies
Only the language you chose and your answer to the cookie notice, in your browser. No analytics, no advertising.
Our server
An ordinary request log: address, page, time, browser, where you came from.

The browser account

Sign-in
The sign-in email and a password check, which is not the password.
The recovery key
Held by us, so that a forgotten password is not the end of your profiles.
Mail
The address confirmation and the key notice are sent through an outside mail service, which sees the address and the link.
The sign-in log
The account service keeps a sign-in log of the same kind as the site’s.

The products

Browser profiles stay on your disk. We hold a copy only if you turn on the cloud for a profile or share it with a team, and we hold the key to that copy too. Methmine VPN knows your account, devices and traffic used, and keeps the IP address of requests to its server for thirty days; it does not record sites, DNS lookups or the content of your traffic.
