Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to Methmine Browser, the Methium engine, the Methmine account, cloud and team services, the methmine.com website and the Methmine community (together, the Services) provided by METHMINE LLC (Methmine, we). It is part of the METHMINE Company Terms and the Methmine Browser Product Terms. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given there.
The Services exist so that people who run many accounts, clients, stores or campaigns can keep each one separate, consistent and under their control. They are not a tool for harming others. You are responsible for every use of the Services through your account, including by team members, by anyone you hand a profile to, and by assistants and programs you connect.
1. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Services, or allow them to be used, to do or attempt any of the following:
Fraud and financial crime
- Use a payment card, bank account, wallet or payment credential that is stolen, or that you are not authorised to use; test, validate or "check" payment credentials; or make chargebacks you know to be unfounded.
- Defeat or evade identity verification, know-your-customer, 3-D Secure, anti-money-laundering or similar checks run by a bank, payment provider, exchange or regulated business, or open or operate an account in a name that is not yours or not authorised.
- Launder money, finance terrorism, evade sanctions, or deal in proceeds of crime.
- Commit or facilitate fraud, including advertising fraud such as fabricated clicks, impressions, installs or conversions, bonus or promotion abuse that is unlawful where it occurs, and insurance, benefit or tax fraud.
Unauthorised access and stolen data
- Access, take over, or use any account, system or data without the authorisation of its owner, including by credential stuffing, password spraying, session or cookie theft, or replaying cookies, tokens or credentials you did not lawfully obtain.
- Store, import, buy, sell or use stolen or leaked credentials, cookies, session data, personal data or "logs" from malware.
- Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware or exploit code, or operate command-and-control, phishing or credential-harvesting pages.
Harm to people
- Impersonate a real person or organisation in order to deceive, defraud, or harm them or others.
- Harass, stalk, threaten, dox or abuse anyone, or collect personal data about someone in breach of law.
- Create, store or distribute child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises minors. We report such material to the competent authorities.
- Promote or facilitate violence, terrorism, human trafficking, or the sale of weapons, drugs or other goods or services that are illegal where offered or received.
- Run coordinated campaigns to deceive the public about elections, public health or emergencies.
Abuse of networks and services
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages in breach of applicable law.
- Carry out denial-of-service attacks, or deliberately overload, disrupt or damage any network, website or service.
- Scrape or collect data in breach of law, including data protection law, or of a technical measure that prohibits it where circumventing that measure is itself unlawful.
Our Services
- Use the Services in breach of the Product Terms, including Section 3 ("What you may not do") of the Methmine Browser Product Terms.
- Probe, scan or attack our servers, interfere with other customers' use of the Services, or exceed rate limits deliberately.
- Use the Services from, or provide access to them in, a country or region, or to a person, where that is prohibited by sanctions or export-control law.
General
- Break any law or regulation that applies to you, to us, or to the place where your activity has effect, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
2. Third-party platforms
Most websites and platforms have their own terms, and some restrict running more than one account or using automation. Whether your use of a particular website is permitted under that website's terms is between you and that website. You alone carry the risk of any suspension, limitation or claim by that website. This does not permit anything listed in Section 1.
3. What we do
3.1. We do not monitor the contents of your profiles as a matter of routine, and profiles stored only on your computer are not visible to us.
3.2. We act on credible reports, on information from a lawful authority, and on signals we observe in our own services (for example, abuse of our account, cloud or update services). Reports of abuse go to contact@methmine.com, with the subject "Abuse report". Please include what happened, when, and any evidence.
3.3. If we reasonably believe you have breached this policy, we may, at our discretion and without liability, do any of the following: warn you; remove or disable content stored on our servers; suspend or terminate your account, team, invitations or cloud copies; revoke invitations you issued; refuse further updates or engine versions to your installation; and report the matter and preserve and disclose relevant information to law enforcement or affected parties where we are required to or are permitted to by law and the Privacy Policy.
3.4. Where you invited someone who breaches this policy, we may also review the invitations you hold.
4. Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version at https://methmine.com/legal/acceptable-use/. The version in force when the conduct occurred applies.
