A company that makes the internet cleaner.

Who we are, what we think, what we do not do, and what the site knows about you.

Who we are.

Methmine makes tools for people who want a clean, anonymous internet: no tracking, no advertising, nobody looking where they were not invited. We are a private company and a closed community around what we build.

Today that is three things: Methmine Browser for people who run many accounts, SodaVPN for people who want a quiet way onto the network, and an ad blocker that is still being built.

Everything but SodaVPN is in closed beta: we admit a narrow circle of people and listen to them before opening the door wider.

The products page

The point of view.

Anonymity should not be a choice. It should be the default.

An internet without tracking and advertising belongs to everyone who uses it.

We build tools for ourselves, so they have to work rather than sell.

Data that does not exist cannot be lost, so we collect less of it.

What we do keep, we say ourselves, before anyone asks.

Nothing here is free and paid for with your behaviour. The price is said out loud and paid in money.

What we do not do.

What the site knows about you.

Anonymity here is not a promise; it is the list of what we do not ask and do not keep: no analytics, no advertising, no identity documents. The application asks for a contact and what you run, in your own words, and nothing else personal. In the community you are a handle. You sign in to the browser with an email and a password. What the site and the account know about you is listed below. Each product carries its own list on its page.

the application
Your contact, what you wrote, the page language and the time it arrived. No address, no browser. The founder reads it and may show it to current members before acceptance.
who invited you
A member’s handle, if you gave one.
in the community
Your handle.
the browser account
The sign-in email and a password check, which is not the password.
the recovery key
Held by us, so that a forgotten password is not the end of your profiles.
SodaVPN
The Telegram account the access was handed to, and the term of the subscription. More on the SodaVPN page.
mail
The address confirmation and the key notice are sent through an outside mail service, which sees the address and the link.
our server
An ordinary request log: address, page, time, browser, where you came from. The account service keeps a sign-in log of the same kind.

That is the list for the site and the account. Each product carries its own on its page. Questions about your data: privacy@methmine.com.

Contact.

We answer ourselves, with no sales team and no bot on the first line.

How to get into the beta.

The three rules of the closed programme are on the front page. So is the application.
