The closed beta

How people get in, what the application asks, and what happens after.

Three rules

  1. Invitation

A member invites you in their own name and answers for you with their standing. Invites are few and earned, and members give them only to people they are prepared to answer for.

  2. Application

Without an inviter, applications are read when a window opens. Current members may be consulted before acceptance. Every application gets an answer after the window closes, either way.

  3. Terms

Products in beta carry no price, because they are in beta. What comes after, members hear first. SodaVPN is open to everyone; its plans are on its own site.

What the application asks

Contact
Telegram or email, where the answer goes. The only personal field that is required.
Who invited you
A member’s handle, if there is one. A member’s link fills it in by itself.
What you run
In your own words: what you run, which tools you need, why you want the beta. Two or three sentences are enough.

What happens after

The founder reads the application and may show it to current members before acceptance. The answer goes to the contact you gave after the window closes, accepted or not. Those accepted get the browser build and a place in the community under a handle.
