Activity log
What you did to your profiles, and what asked to: your disk, nobody else’s.
What the screen shows
Entries by day, Today and Yesterday first, with totals above: how many entries, how many refusals, how many programs. Filters for refusals, launches, edits and grants, and a search over the log. What you did and what asked to are both searched.
- Entry
- What happened and when: a launch, an edit, a grant or a refusal. An entry about something you did from this window says so: nothing asked.
- Program
- Who asked for access: the program and its path.
- Signature
- Signed, not signed, or unknown. An image whose signature cannot be checked is not reported as unsigned.
- Profile
- Not recorded. A grant keeps the program, its path and its signature, not what it was about: the confirmation channel carries no object.
- State
- Allowed, refused or lapsed for a request; an entry about a launch or an edit is labelled as that. A request left unanswered until its time ran out counts as a refusal.
Grants
A program that asks for a profile’s cookies or an export raises a prompt naming the program, its path and whether it is signed. A grant is for that one request and is not remembered. Both outcomes stay in the log: which program was allowed and which was refused, with the signature of each.
What you do here
- Search the log: what you did and what asked to are both searched.
- Open an entry: the program, its path and its signature.
- Forget the journal: this is the only record of which programs asked for what and of what you allowed. Profiles, snapshots and cookies are untouched; this forgets what was done, not what was made. History is content you can go back to; there is nothing here to restore.
